On Wisconsin...

So it is official - we are going to become residents of the great state of Wisconsin! Last weekend I accepted a job offer from Lawrence University in Appleton WI as the Director of Conservatory Admissions. LU's enrollment is aprox. 1400 with 1/3 of that enrollment being made up by the Conservatory of Music. I am really excited about this new position since it combines both my admissions & music experiences...I will be recruiting primarily music students and an added bonus is that I will be off the traditional "admissions road" in the fall - I will be flying all over the country in the winter though conducting regional auditions with prospective students...so still some travel but much different and more exciting travel.

So with a new job in a new city comes the crazy process of selling one house and buying another - we listed our house in North Aurora today and are driving up to Appleton this weekend to do a marathon house hunting trip this weekend - hopefully we will find something we like...the housing market is much more reasonable up there so that is in our favor!

We are really excited about this move but are also sad to leave all our family and friends down here in IL - hopefully everyone will come up and visit - I'm sure we will have at least 1 guest room! I will try to keep up with the updates as these come along but no promises...keep your fingers crossed for a quick move!
